AttributeEncoder
Encodes the values of the specified attributes to the desired encoding. If the incoming attribute is Null, the type of the attribute will be set to the desired encoding but the output value will be Null.
Parameters
Select All Attributes to encode the value of all attributes except fme_ attributes. Select Selected Attributes to specify a list of attributes to encode.
The subset of attributes for which you want the value encoded.
The desired encoding for the attributes.
If Honor Encoding is specified, the value of the attribute is converted to the desired encoding based on the current attribute encoding. If Use Bytes is specified, then no conversion will be done and the bytes in the attribute value will just be marked with the desired encoding.
If the Destination Encoding is Binary (fme-binary), the transformer will produce the same result for both Honor Encoding and Use Bytes.
Editing Transformer Parameters
Using a set of menu options, transformer parameters can be assigned by referencing other elements in the workspace. More advanced functions, such as an advanced editor and an arithmetic editor, are also available in some transformers. To access a menu of these options, click beside the applicable parameter. For more information, see Transformer Parameter Menu Options.
