Surfaces (IFMESurface)
Surfaces are geometries that have a planar area. Surfaces must be 3D (x,y,z).
A face is one example of a surface feature. It is a planar polygon or donut stored as a true 3D feature. | |
Some surfaces contain holes, in much the same way as a donut area. |
The boundaries of surfaces are areas.
Simple surfaces are composed of a single component, while composite surfaces may be composed of several surface components.
