SECURITY_AD_SERVER_HOST

Required when SECURITY_AD_SERVER_AUTODETECT=false. Specifies the nth server hostname or IP address.

In most common Windows domain configurations, the Active Directory is located on the domain controller.

To obtain the hostname of an Active Directory server:

From AD Explorer:

  1. Select File > Connect..., and click OK, leaving all values blank.
  2. If AD Explorer successfully connects to Active Directory, the hostname is printed in square brackets.

From a domain computer:

  1. Open a command prompt (cmd.exe) via the Start menu.
  2. Type gpresult /r to display the policy information for the current user.
  3. The Active Directory server appears under 'Group Policy was applied from'.
