DMSCalculator

Calculates degrees, minutes, and seconds (DMS) from a decimal degrees value provided as an attribute.

Jump to Configuration

Typical Uses

  • Calculating the DMS (degrees, minutes, seconds) equivalent of latitude and longitude decimal degree values.

How does it work?

The DMSCalculator receives any feature with an attribute containing a valid decimal degree value, and converts that value to degrees, minutes, and seconds. The results are added as attributes to the output feature.

If an invalid (for example, non-numeric) value is received, the translation will fail.
