Cloning an Instance

Cloning an FME Flow Hosted instance copies its configuration to a new instance, including alerts, events, and security permissions. Cloning an instance does not copy any data associated with the connection to FME Flow.

If you want to replace an instance with its clone, you must perform an upgrade.

To Clone an Instance

1. Ensure the state of the instance is running or paused. For more information, see Pausing, Restarting, and Terminating an Instance.
2. From the Instances page, click the instance you want to clone. The page opens for that instance.
3. Click Quick Actions and select Clone Instance. The Clone Instance page opens. Provide a Name, URL and Description (optional) for the instance, and review the remainder of the configuration. Most fields auto-populate with values from the original instance. For more information, see To Create an Instance
4. Under Summary (at right), confirm the instance configuration and click Create Instance. The instance begins launching.
