Changing the URL of an Instance

With minimal downtime, you can change the URL of an instance running FME Flow version 2024.0 or later. To change the URL of an instance running an earlier version of FME Flow, follow the steps in Upgrading with a Change in the Instance URL.

To Change the URL of an Instance: FME Flow 2024.0 or Later

1. Ensure the state of the instance is running or paused. For more information, see Pausing, Restarting, and Terminating an Instance.
2. From the Instances page, click the instance for which you want to change the URL. The page opens for that instance.
3. Click Quick Actions and select Change URL. The Change URL dialog opens.
4. Enter the new URL.
   Note  

   • The URL must be unique; it cannot be set to the same URL as another instance.
   • Any external references to the URL will need to be updated.
5. Click Change URL and wait for the URL to change. This process may take 3-5 minutes to complete. If the instance was in a running state, it will reboot.
