Name

The name of the field to be written.

Valid values for field name include any character string devoid of DynamoDB offensive characters and less than 256 characters in length.

Type

The type of a column in a table.

The valid values for the field type are listed below. Each attribute in an item is a name-value pair. An attribute can be single-valued or multi-valued set. The multi-valued attribute is a set; duplicate values are not allowed. See the Amazon DynamoDB Developer Guide for more information on data types.

Index

The type of index to create on the given field. Only one partition key and sort key may be specified. When creating a table, a partition must be provided and optionally a range can be provided. Together, the combination of partition and sort key must be unique.
