About Web Connections

Connections store authentication information.

For general information about web connections, please see Using Web Connections.

For information about managing web services (including authorization credentials such as Client Id and Client Secret), please see Managing Web Services.

Connection

From the Connection parameter in a web service format, you can do one of the following:

  • Select an existing previously defined connection. For information, see the section Reusing a Web Connection in Using Web Connections.
  • Select Add Web Connection to define a new connection. The new connection can be made visible only to the current user, or can be shared among multiple users.

Note  Use of the Airtable format requires you to set up your own Web Service. To configure a Web Service, refer to the instructions in the Airtable Web Service template included with this package. (From FME Workbench, open FME Options > Web Connections and click the Manage Services button. Navigate to the Airtable template.)

Service Connection

The name of the Airtable web connection.

Constraints

Base

The ID of the Airtable base to which tables will be written.

After a valid connection has been established, click the browse [...] button to list the Airtable bases which can be accessed using the current credentials.
