AIXM v5 is a global standard developed to facilitate the exchange and storage of digital aeronautical information. It employs the GML (Geography Markup Language) format, ensuring compatibility and interoperability across various systems and platforms in the aeronautical industry.
Note This AIXM5 reader functions as a streamlined interface to the GML reader and consequently lacks support for specialized AIXM v5 constructs. It is scheduled for deprecation and will be succeeded by the more advanced AIXM5X reader. The new reader will be specifically designed to handle specialized AIXM v5 constructs, including the management of AirspaceTimeslices linked to GeoBorder features.
