Security

Select Utilities > FME Options > Security.

Tip  Use Search to find a setting located anywhere in FME Options.

Security Settings

Use FME Flow security settings for workspace runs when they are more restrictive than the local settings.

If checked, and there is an active connection to FME Flow, workspaces run according to the Security Hardening setting of that FME Flow deployment, if that setting is more restrictive than the Security Settings specified below.

FME Form Settings

Note  Changing FME Form security settings requires administrator privileges.

Specifies the level of security hardening applied to FME Form.

Note  For any changes to take effect, you must:
  1. Click OK (to save and close the dialog) or Apply (to save and keep the dialog open).
  2. Close all FME Form applications.

Full Hardening

Maximum security. Restricts many sensitive operations within FME.

Default Hardening (Recommended)

Balanced security. Allows most operations. Default for new installations.

Minimal Hardening

Basic security only. Almost all capabilities allowed. Use only for isolated development or testing environments.
