FME Flow: 2024.2
Backing Up an FME Flow Configuration
Tip To perform regularly scheduled backups, see Performing Scheduled Backups of an FME Flow Configuration.
- Click Create Backup. The Backup FME Flow page opens.
- File name: (Optional) Edit the name of the backup file.
- Export Location:Download
Downloads the backup (.fsconfig) file to your local system.
ResourcesSaves the backup (.fsconfig) file to a specified location on the Resources page.
- Resource Location: Click the ellipsis (...) to select the Resources folder to contain the backup file. To select a lower-level folder, click the top folder to open it.
Post to Topic on Success/Failure: (Optional) FME Flow is pre-configured to publish content about the success or failure of a backup or restore operation. By default, this content is delivered to the MIGRATION_ASYNC_JOB_SUCCESS notification service topic. You can configure an Automations external action to notify you over a supported protocol when a backup or restore succeeds or fails. For more information, see Monitoring FME Flow Events from Topics.
Warning If you are performing a backup as part of an upgrade or re-install of FME Flow, you must select a folder that will be accessible outside of FME Flow following uninstall. Select either an Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 bucket connection, or other network-based resource connection you created manually. All other folders will be inaccessible after FME Flow is uninstalled. Alternatively, specify Backup To: Download. - Security Settings: If Standard Security Mode is Enabled, System Encryption is Standard (default), and you must restore to an FME Flow that uses the same encryption key as the current FME Flow you are backing up. To confirm you are in possession of that encryption key file, check Yes, I have the required encryption key.
- Click Save File. The backup file saves to the specified location, accompanied by a message.
Note On earlier versions of FME Flow, this page may be named "Migration," and the interface may not match exactly the description that follows.
