Publishing to FME Flow Data Virtualization

With an open workspace that was downloaded from FME Flow Data Virtualization, click the Publish icon on the Toolbar. The Publish to FME Flow Data Virtualization dialog opens:

  1. On the Publish to FME Flow Data Virtualization dialog, complete the following:
    • FME Flow Connection: Specify the connection for the FME Flow to which you want to publish. For more information, see Connecting to FME Flow.
    • API: Select the Data Virtualization API to which the workspace is associated.
    • Workspace Name: Editing the workspace name is not supported.
    • Upload data files: If the workspace has file resources that need to be uploaded, check this box. Then, click Select Files to verify the list of files to be uploaded.
    • Select Files: Opens the Select Files to Upload dialog, where you can select from the list of available file resources that need to be uploaded with the workspace.
    • Note  For information about uploading shared resources, including custom formats, custom transformers, and custom coordinates systems, see Sharing Custom Formats, Transformers, and Coordinate Systems on FME Flow.

      The file path indicates where any resources currently reside in your local folder. In this example, FME Workbench has identified four resources associated with the workspace:

      To add or remove files and folders from being uploaded, check or clear their respective check boxes. To add more files, click Add Files.

      At the top of the dialog is indicated where the files are uploaded in FME Flow. In this example, the files are uploaded to Repository, which means the repository specified in the Publish to FME Flow dialog.

      Click OK to close the Select Files to Upload dialog.

  2. Click Next. If the workspace contains any database connections or web service connections, the Upload Connections dialog opens. If your workspace contains any database or web connections, use the Upload Connections dialog to specify the connections you want to upload. Unless previously uploaded, you must upload any connections you want to reference when the workspace runs from FME Flow. Check the box for each connection you want to upload.
  3. click Publish to publish the workspace to FME Flow Data Virtualization.
