About Security Updates

Security updates for the operating system (OS) of the instance are installed in the background as soon as they become available.

Depending on the updates, you may need to reboot the instance after installation. If a reboot is required, you will receive an alert on the Summary tab of your instance page.

To determine if a reboot is required after a security update

1. From the Instances page, select the instance you want to investigate.
2. If a reboot is required, it is noted on the Summary tab, under "Triggered Alerts."
