Oracle Instant Client: Instant Client can be used to run your OCI, OCCI, JDBC, and ODBC applications without installing a full Oracle Client. Instant Client supports SQL*Plus.

Overview

The Oracle Non-Spatial Reader/Writer enables FME to read and write attribute data stored using Oracle. This module communicates directly with Oracle for maximum throughput.

Oracle Spatial is also supported by FME:

The object-relational model is documented in the Oracle Spatial Object Reader/Writer.
The relational model is documented in Oracle Spatial Relational Reader/Writer.

If only attributes are to be read or written, this Oracle Non-Spatial reader/writer should be used.

Tip: The FeatureReader transformer performs queries against any FME-supported format.
