To effectively support all the formats that it does, FME has a very comprehensive geometry model that includes everything from the simplest geometry to the most complex.
This section lists geometry types. There are some geometries that are expected to be supported by most, if not all, data formats. Other geometries are more format-specific: they may not appear in every format and not every user would need to know about them.
