TM-WCCS: Transverse Mercator, Wisconsin County Variation

This is a minor variation of the traditional version o the Transverse Mercator projection. This variation supports the Wisconsin County Coordinate System group of coordinate systems. This variation uses a parallel ellipsoid technique to adjust horizontal coordinates for average elevation of the region being mapped.

Parameter Name

Description

PARM1

Longitude, in degrees, of the central meridian.

PARM2

Average geoid separation in meters of the region being mapped.

PARM3

Average elevation above the geoid (that is, orthometric height) in system units of the region being mapped.

ORG_LAT

Latitude, in degrees, of the origin of the projection.

SCL_RED

The scale reduction to be applied. This is also referred to as the scale of the central meridian.

X_OFF

The false easting to be applied to all X coordinates, selected to cause all X coordinates within the coordinate system to be positive values of reasonable size.

Y_OFF

The false northing to be applied to all Y coordinates.
