FME can read and write Microsoft Word document features.
Features are read in document order. Note that at this time, some styling information may be lost from reader to writer.
The writer can either create a new document or append to the end of an existing base document. In both cases, the document will be saved in a new location so that the base file is not overwritten. Features are written one at a time, in the order they are received, and output to a .docx file.
The .docx file format has been the default Microsoft Word file format since the release of Word 2007. (The .doc file format is not officially supported.)
