Google Cloud Spanner Reader/Writer (Deprecated)

Format Deprecation Notice:  This format has been deprecated and may be removed from FME in the future. Since this format has been deprecated, the JDBC driver required by this format is no longer installed with FME. You can obtain the driver from https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/com.google.cloud/google-cloud-spanner-jdbc. After selecting a version, choose a jar file with the following pattern: google-cloud-spanner-jdbc-x.x.x-single-jar-with-dependencies.jar.

The Google Cloud Spanner reader and writer modules provide FME with access to attribute data held in Google Cloud Spanner database tables.

Usage Notes

The performance of this format is dependent on the amount of memory allocated to the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). The following environment variables allow you to specify memory available to Java Plugins:

Tip  To pass additional parameters used by FME to the Java Virtual Machine, use the JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS environment variable.
Memory Usage (applicable to writers only): Changing the value in the writer parameter Features Per Transaction can control the number of features that FME places in each transaction before a transaction is committed to the database.
