Reader Overview
This reader produces FME features from a selected subset of exported data, filtered by data view.
The value for the Reader Dataset is the path to the .rvz source data file. If the data file does not exist, or if the file is unrecognized by the reader, then the translation will fail.
Native Autodesk Revit Reader
FME contains a native Autodesk Revit reader which will read .rvt files. This allows you to work directly with Revit files without the need to export to a different format. (FME can only read .rvt files – it cannot write .rvt files.)
For more information on this format, please see Autodesk Revit Reader/Writer.
