Password Policy
Select System Configuration > Security.
Password Policy allows you to set standards for the length and content of new or revised passwords. These standards appear as guidelines in the following places:
- When manually Changing Your Login Password.
- On the login page, when accessed from an email to reset a password.
- When prompted to change an expired password.
- On the Users page, when a password is changed for an existing user, or created for a new user.
For new installations of FME Server, Password Policy is enabled by default for an eight-character minimum that must not contain the Username.
To Set Password Standards
- Ensure the Password Policy slider is enabled.
- To expand, click anywhere next to Password Policy, but outside of the slider.
- Configure the standards as desired, and click Save.
