Installing a Custom Transformer

Double-click any .fmx file in your Windows environment, and Workbench will automatically install the transformer and save it to your default Transformer directory (usually My Documents\FME\Transformers).

Start Workbench. If Workbench is already running, click the Refresh button in the Transformer Gallery to see the transformer in the list.

Shared Directories

  1. Copy the transformer (.fmx) file into any folder you have specified as a shared resource location.
  2. Start Workbench.
  3. Click Tools > FME Options and then click the Default Paths icon. See Sharing Custom Transformers.
  4. Refresh the Transformer Gallery to make the transformer visible.
