This help file contains information about FME Universal Viewer. A separate help file exists for FME Universal Translator, FME Workbench, and FME Universal Viewer – each may be accessed through the Help menu of the corresponding FME component. The FME Data Inspector is a Safe Software technology preview, intended to eventually replace the FME Universal Viewer. Although it maintains many of the same features as the FME Universal Viewer, the Data Inspector is cross-platform, it uses the latest display technology, and it supports 3D viewing.
For this release, you have the option to use either application.
To set the FME Data Inspector as your default Workbench data inspection application, go to Tools > FME Options > Workbench.
