FME Form: 2025.1 BETA
Setting the Record Count and Rejected Port Display
The record count shows how many records, or features, passed through each link. The count continuously updates as records pass through the workspace. This function helps analyze the results of a workspace, and provides a reference for debugging if the destination results or performance are not what you expected. Record counts are also written to the Log file but you can find the references more quickly on the links in a workspace.
- Select Test > Enable Record Counting on the Menu Bar,
- Set the Enable Feature Counting workspace parameter to Yes.
- Click the Enable/Disable Record Counting tool on the Toolbar, or
- Set Enable Record Counting in FME Options.
In this example, you can see that 80 records entered the transformer and that 73 of the records passed the test criteria.
When record count display is enabled, you can also see the number of records that are output through the <Rejected> port of a transformer, and view them in FME Data Inspector. For more information, see Viewing Rejected Features.
