WCS (Web Coverage Service) Reader

The Web Coverage Service (WCS) Reader enables FME to retrieve geographic information from a WCS-compliant server.

Overview

WCS is an OpenGIS® Implementation Specification. The WCS specification defines three HTTP operations:

• GetCapabilities
• DescribeCoverage
• GetCoverage

The WCS reader adheres to versions 1.0.0, 1.1.0, 1.1.1, 1.1.2 of this specification, which can be found at the OpenGIS Consortium website.

Reader Overview

The WCS reader at this moment supports TIFF, GeoTIFF, PNG, GIF, JPEG, HDF, NITF, NETCDF raster coverages.
