CoordinateExtractor
Retrieves the value of the x, y, and z coordinate at the specified index into attributes.
Input Ports
This transformer accepts any feature.
Output Ports
Features with extracted coordinates stored in attributes are output through this port.
Features where the specified coordinate was out of range will be output through this port.
Note: Feature order may change in relation to other output ports. Feature order per port is maintained.
Parameters
Mode
- The All Coordinates mode will extract all the coordinates into a list, the name of which the user may specify.
- The Specify Coordinate mode only returns one set of coordinates at an index specified in the Coordinate Index parameter. If the index is out of range, the feature will be rejected. The parameters for each mode will only be enabled if their mode is selected.
If the feature was two-dimensional, then the Z attribute will be given the default value specified.
All Coordinates
Name of the list that will contain all extracted coordinates when the All Coordinates mode is used.
Specify Coordinate
The index can be entered as an integer, or may be taken from the value of another attribute by selecting the attribute name from the pull-down list. A negative index can be used to indicate the position relative to the end of the feature (-1 is the last coordinate, -2 the second last, and so on). If the index is invalid, then the feature will be rejected.
Names of the attributes containing the x-, y-, and z-coordinate values that are retrieved.
Editing Transformer Parameters
Using a set of menu options, transformer parameters can be assigned by referencing other elements in the workspace. More advanced functions, such as an advanced editor and an arithmetic editor, are also available in some transformers. To access a menu of these options, click beside the applicable parameter. For more information, see Transformer Parameter Menu Options.
